ALDO MARTINEZ
MPA, MBA.
President
Aldo Martinez is the Co-founder and CEO of Lumiere Health International, a boutique healthcare consultancy specializing in high-impact health equity initiatives. The firm works with hospital systems, law firms, research institutions, and healthcare-related businesses to drive innovative solutions in healthcare. Lumiere Health International has achieved a remarkable 100% success rate in federal court on behalf of its clients and has led policy analysis and evaluations presented to the U.S. Congress.
Aldo’s extensive experience spans management consulting, financial services, healthcare, and public policy at Big 4 firms, including PwC. He is a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies worldwide. At Bayer Pharmaceuticals, he played a key role in leading the company's top 20 global strategic initiatives and was instrumental in the $62.5 billion M&A transaction with Monsanto.
Prior to his work at Bayer, Aldo was pivotal in the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in Washington, D.C., where his efforts built business and technical ecosystems that shaped public policy and monetary regulation. Through enforcement actions and policies, the CFPB has injected approximately $12 billion back into communities and the economy nationwide.
Aldo holds an MBA and MPA from Harvard University, earned through the joint master’s program at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School, with a focus on strategy and healthcare policy. He graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in International Finance and Aerospace Engineering. He also serves on the board of directors at NextStep Portfolio, advising on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, social enterprise, risk management, and public policy. He enjoys sports, arts, traveling, cooking/sharing Latin food with family and friends, and dancing merengue, bachata, and salsa.
ALEJANDRO LOZANO

VP of Governance
Alejandro Lozano holds a degree in Political Science from Tec de Monterrey, where he also studied for a master's degree in Public Management.
Alejandro Lozano's career has been enriched by his international experiences. He has served as a volunteer at the UN and Organization of American States summits and the Mexican Embassies in Poland, Argentina, and the United Kingdom.
In 2012, he won the elections to serve as a legislator in the Congress of San Luis Potosi. During this time, he led several initiatives, including the elimination of vehicle tenure, the first state law in Mexico on cybercrimes, the new economic development state law, and the establishment of the first animal protection law in the state.
In 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Alejandro as head of Political Affairs at the Mexican Embassy in the Vatican. This period was marked by the historic Pope Francis's visit to Mexico and the anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations. In 2019, he resigned from this position to pursue his master’s degree in public administration at Harvard University. During his MC/MPA studies, he served as VP of International Students at the Kennedy School Student Government.
Alejandro Lozano has studied public policy postgraduate studies at Oxford, Harvard, University of London, and the London School of Economics. In 2016, the governments of Mexico and Singapore honored him with the 'Singapore Cooperation Award'.
Currently, Alejandro Lozano serves as the Vice President of the Harvard University Latino Alumni Association. He is also a partner and general director of a Wellness Center in Mexico and works as a consultant in the United States and Mexico.
CHRISTIAN CARVAJAL

Secretary
Christian Carvajal is a Colombian American documentary filmmaker based in New York City. He simultaneously works in the nonprofit world in a Development role.
His interests lie within the Latinx community, human rights, and themes of migration and memory. He has associate produced feature-length films that have premiered at the 2022 and 2023 Tribeca Film Festivals, Sheffield Doc Fest, CPH:DOX, and been distributed on PBS.
Past experience includes work at Business Insider, a true-crime series for Investigation Discovery, and a shark show for NatGeo. Christian received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Harvard College in 2015.
EDWARD L. ROCHA

President Emeritus, Founding Member
Edward Rocha is a seasoned educator, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker who is dedicated to multicultural education and elevating unrepresented voices. 
Rocha is founder and president of Rola Corporation, a language education company, and Rola Languages, an international language school. As part of this work, he has written and published bilingual language workbooks and children’s books. He is also chief executive officer of The Morning Goals, LLC, a coaching and consulting practice for entrepreneurs and creative professionals. He was previously vice president of business development at Dutchess Capital Management and director of investor relations at Solios Asset Management.  
Rocha is co-founder, president emeritus, and former vice president of the Harvard Latino Alumni Alliance. While a student at Harvard, he was a community liaison for Harvard-Radcliffe RAZA, president of the Harvard Association for Cultivating Inter-American Democracy, co-chair for Concilio Latino, and the co-coordinator for the RALLY after-school program.   
He serves on the boards of the Tremont School and Mystic Valley Elder Services and is a committee member of the Cummings Foundation, which awards grants to nonprofits, and Greenlight Fund Boston, which partners with local communities to address challenges. 
“My passion for education led me to create a business that promotes multilingualism, multiculturalism, and international understanding. As a first-generation student, I faced struggles navigating the college landscape and appreciated the mentorship of a Harvard alum. I hope to continue strengthening the alumni community, to increase engagement among alumni of color, and to provide current students with opportunities by connecting them with alumni.”
